BACK COVER BLURB
John, a socially inept teenager, has led a frustrating life for as long
as he can remember. Until, at the end of a summer, he discovers a magic
sphere. Now, instead of going back to school, he can go back two months
in time and experience this summer again. As many times as he wishes!
John soon realizes that the more times he experiences this summer, the
better he makes it. And the better he makes it, the less inclined he is
to finally let this damned fall come.
And so, he willingly stays in this
time loop for years, decades, centuries. He thinks that he's in
control, but the truth is that the magic sphere has taken control of his
life.
Little by little, without him realizing it, this process turns
him into something horrific, something he had never imagined he could
become.
Don't miss this psychological thriller.
I bet all of you have heard of the time loop trope and most of you have
read/watched something related to the aforementioned trope. The
Groundhog Day movie is a popular example; most likely, all of you have
heard of that film, even if you have never actually watched it. Myself, I
haven't either.
Anyway, one day, when I was aimlessly walking on the streets,
it occurred to me that I could make way better use of the time loop
trope than anyone else ever has. And so, I wrote this novel.
Just as in most of my novels, the main character is a
teenage loser. This time, the loser the story talks about finds himself
in a time loop, except that, as opposed to most works of fiction that
use this plot device, he is not trapped in it. He can break the time
loop anytime he wishes; he just opts to stay in that situation. And so,
he experiences the same summer 1265 times, with each time lasting two
months. In other words, he experiences 210 years and 10 months worth of
summer vacation.
Wow, you can do primary school level math calculations! Your
mom should be so proud!
Shut up!
During this centuries long (from his perspective) time loop, John
(that's the name of the main character) interacts with bullies, his
annoying little brother, forest animals, two dangerous sociopaths (Abe
and Bob) and a teenage girl called Vicky. While writing 'It Took Me 1265
Summers to Realize', it struck me that, in my novels, it's really hard to tell who the
villain is. Most of my characters, including the main ones, are so
humanized, capable of both good and evil.
Technically, '1265 Summers' is not considered a novel, since a book has
to be at least 40.000 words long to be classified as such, whereas '1265
Summers' is only 35.000 words long. In other words, it's a novella.
But, in my defense, it's still longer than any of RL Stine's books.
Speaking
of which, although I consider myself the best writer in the world, I
admire that guy and his Goosebumps books (so many childhood memories!)
really inspired me. '1265 Summers' is written in a similar style
(miserable, teenage situations, cliffhangers at the end of every chapter
and all), though more adult rated than Goosebumps; for starters, while
reading my novella, you will enjoy some mind blowing sex scenes (my
style is always M rated, baby!)
If you want to know how that story ends, give me your money and get a copy. Also because I'm so desperate for your money and your attention.
In any case, till next time, don't forget to buy my other novels too (author page HERE) share my blog posts on social media.
